According to the American Dental Association, a person's smile outranked eyes, hair and body as the most important physical feature, which is why it's important for our team at Tri State Dental Care to support National Smile Month this June.
Show off your pearly whites by posting your favorite smile photos on the wall of our Facebook page. We look forward to seeing what you share!

We hope you are not a part of the 51 percent of Americans who don’t floss every day. And we definitely hope you're not part of the 10 percent who never floss at all. Dr. Jeff Reinking, Dr. Amber Reinking Wisner, and our staff at Tri State Dental Care will always tell you that proper flossing is just as important for your dental health as brushing regularly. Flossing, you see, cleans food and plaque that builds up between teeth and below the gumline, key areas that brushing simply cannot reach.
Flossing 3-to-5 minutes each day is recommended, but even 60 seconds of flossing has a great benefit over not flossing at all. Also, make sure to always brush your teeth after you floss, and to rinse with water or mouthwash. When you begin flossing you may experience gum pain or bleeding, but with daily flossing and brushing this should stop within a week or so.
Lastly, has it been at least six months since your last checkup with Tri State Dental Care? If the answer is yes, we encourage you to schedule an appointment!

To all of our Patients & Friends in the Community;
As you all know the Dakota Dunes area is at risk for flooding. Our office is currently not in any danger and we are above the flood plain, so we are hopeful. However, the community is under evacuation and has a lot of traffic moving through the area due to sandbagging, dirt trucks, and moving vehicles.
Our goal is to be able to provide our patients with the same care, but would like to caution our patients about the traffic and advise you to plan accordingly when traveling to your appointment. Our patients can still access our office as normal. The streets that are closing are ONLY in the Residential area.
It will be our first priority to inform our patients of any changes or of any roads that will be closed. Unfortunately, we are unable to predict what will happen in the upcoming days, but we will do our best to keep our patients and friends in the community informed.
We would like to keep a positive attitude and are praying for our community friends and their homes. We are thankful for the community efforts and the residents in the surrounding areas who have helped those living in the affected area.
If by chance our office is affected then we will take the necessary precautions and will notify our patients of any changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call us at (605) 242-7123.

Memorial Day weekend, a time to remember and honor the men and women lost while serving for our country. Memorial Day is also the unofficial start of summer, and for many folks in Dakota Dunes, getting out of town for three days after being cooped up in the classroom or the office spells sweet, sweet relief.
What about you? What are you up to this Memorial Day weekend? Whether you are headed to a barbecue, a camping trip, or just hitting the great American open roads, we’d like to hear all about it!
Our entire team at Tri State Dental Care wishes you a happy, safe and relaxing Memorial Day weekend!
